At the end of the Beijing race weekend of the first leg of the 2017 China GT, The Winning Team successfully made off with the double crown in the new GT4 class.

In the first round for the GT4 class, the team of Roelof Bruins and Dong Liang drove the McLaren 570S GT4 to victory after snatching pole in the qualifying. In the second round of GT4 races, David McIntyre, McLaren China’s Managing Director, and Roelof Bruins took to the track under adverse circumstances, with a five-place grid penalty, 25 kilos of success ballast and 10 second time penalty, and still managed to sail to victory to seize the title of GT4 champions.

McLaren 570S GT4 has achieved two back-to-back victories since its debut in China, showing its dominance in the GT4 group. So far, in this year’s global GT4 races, the 570S GT4 has already run away with 3 titles in Europe, Asia and America.

However, the drivers are not satisfied with the two victories this time, and have already started turning their attention to the next China GT race weekend in two months’ time.
